What’s Love Got to Do with It?

And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all purpose garment never be without it. Col. 3:14B Message

Did you ever think about wearing love? Me neither! I think a lot about what I wear (maybe even too much sometimes). I think we should spend more time with dressing for what’s inside. We have all heard those old cliches about 'beauty runs skin deep' or 'don’t judge a book by its cover.' Well if we have to prepare outwardly each day, then we must also prepare inwardly. Wow, I think I forgot patience yesterday, and the day before, and the day before . . . Maybe I should put a big sign up at the front door: Patience please, we are all humans with a lot to contend with each day. What are those fruits again? Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Can’t cover all those today, maybe some of them next week. I have a lot to get out of the closet and clean up to make this inside wardrobe thing work!

Maybe for Tina, love is a second hand emotion, but for us Jesus-followers, it must be a first hand emotion! We all need it, and our God is full of it. He is perfect love; we are not. We must put love (and those other spirits) "on" every day.

Let me answer your question Tina: What’s love got to do with it. . . .everything!
