I’ve thrown myself headlong into your arms - I’m celebrating your rescue. - Psalm 13:5-6
When I think back over my life, messy would be a good way to describe a lot of it. Seems like I have been going from one mess to another. Maybe, life is one big mess. We can either constantly try to fix them or accept them and move on.
God loves (us), even though we sure do cause Him a lot of trouble. When we look back over the Bible, most of God’s folks were pushing through, ignoring, or solving their messes. Those messes may have slowed them down, but they moved on (of course, with the Lord’s help). That is the key to life. God can get me out, but He also may leave me in so that I will grow.
I think I have let so many of them paralyze me. That old panic button would go off; I would get consumed in the fixing process. Then, I would get buried in my own dilemma.
However, God is in the business of fixing messes. He allows them so we can grow. He leaves it up to us to make the choice. We can either become miserable in our mess, or we can “move on” in spite of it.
