Are You Tired?
Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint. Isaiah 4:31 Message
The number one answer when asked “How are you?” is I am TIRED. I don’t think I can remember not being tired. After all, what is on your to do list . . . job, kids, house, family (especially aging parents), community responsibilities. This list is making me tired! Is there too much on your list?
When I retired, I just knew I would get it all done. Guess what, it never gets all done. Stuff starts over, or new stuff crops up. Maybe it is time to ask for help. Dear Lord, “Can you help me? I am so tired of being tired!"
Let’s read the verse again. If I trust you, Father, I will find new strength. I sure want that. I will soar high when I am just trying to keep my head above water! I will run (Are you kidding?). I will not grow weary (God’s word for tired). I will not faint! I will trust in You for You have all the answers, even for being tired.
