Are You a Queen?
“Maybe you were made queen for such a time as this." Esther 4:14
I know your first thought because it is mine; I am certainly not a queen! But, yes, you are. Maybe you and I are not queens by today’s standards, but we are God’s queens. That is pretty darn special. Stop thinking about the dirty dishes, the errands, the chores, and “What’s for dinner?”. Ladies, think about who you belong to - Almighty God! I remember when I was young . . . raising children, working a full time job, cleaning house, and we know the list goes on and on and on and on. Guess what girls . . . it never gets all done and takes a long time to learn that, especially if you are a perfectionist. Don’t you get excited when the dishes are in the dishwasher, counters are wiped, food is in the refrigerator, and the kitchen is clean? I feel like I've conquered something. Then comes morning, and it starts all over again!
You think that you might see the light at the end of the tunnel when the children are grown and gone; then come the parents. (You will get there someday.) Stay with me, here. It never gets easy, never gets finished, never stops, but maybe you were meant “for such a time as this." The Creator of the world made you and me. We are INCREDIBLE! Look at yourself. Please see the beauty God made. Don’t let Hollywood or anyone tell you that you are not beautiful. Do you have a clue how long it takes for the stars to look the way they do?
Embrace your life because God made you for such a time as this.
